How can Chris help?

Chris is an Equity Partner in Boxall Brown & Jones and has overall responsibility for the residential sales and lettings section of the business. As a Chartered Surveyor, he has many years’ experience and is considered to be an expert in his field offering help and advice in all areas of the residential property sales and management. Chris has worked in the Derby property market since he left school working for a number of high profile firms of Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors. He obtained a degree in Estate Surveying before becoming qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2002. Chris is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) and a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agency (NAEA) organisations with which he is actively involved at both local and national level. Having been a Chairman of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire branch of the NAEA for many years and serving on National Committees, Chris was awarded a Distinguished Service Honour in 2009. Chris has been voted as one of the top 250 inspiring business people in Derbyshire for the last three years and is proud to serve the community as a Magistrate in the Southern Derbyshire Criminal Courts.

Chris joined Boxall Brown & Jones in 2001 and became a partner in 2005.

Interests

With two young children Chris does not get as much free time now to go out sailing but it remains one of his true passions. He is a keen fund raiser with his climb to Mount Everest base camp and participation in four Great North Runs raising over £18,000 for the British Heart Foundation. He has recently raised over £6000 for ‘Sue Ryder’ after running the London Marathon and helped to raise over £10,000 at the ‘BBJ Charity Ball’ this year. Chris enjoys football, walking, running, travel, food, drink and good company.

Anthony Lomas

How can Anthony help?

If you are considering moving home which is one of, if not the single most stressful periods of life, Anthony along with his experienced team will provide all the necessary advice, guidance and support required to take as much of the stress out of the entire process as possible. In the first instance, Anthony will provide marketing and sales advice during a Free Market Appraisal. Anthony’s approach is of a friendly yet professional manner with his aim being to leave a client reassured and confident that by using Boxall Brown & Jones their very best of interests will always be in mind.

Experience:

Having let and sold properties throughout Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire since 2003, Anthony has built up an in-depth knowledge of the residential lettings and sales market. He is a member of the National Association of Estate Agents and holds a technical award in the sale of Residential Property. Anthony has been successfully providing market appraisals to home sellers since 2005.

How long has Anthony been part of the team?

Anthony joined the firm in 2006 as a Valuer for both lettings and sales, being involved within Estate Agency since graduating from the University of Derby in 2002. During his time at Boxall Brown & Jones Anthony has played a pivotal role in the continuing success and expansion of the sales & lettings department the latter of which he has recently managed. His next challenge is running the busy Allestree office which he is particularly looking forward to. In 2016 Anthony was made a Partner and now assists in running the business.

Interests

Anthony is a supporter of Derby County Football Club and enjoys regular exercise by both cycling and running. In 2018 he raised nearly £2000 for Cancer Research UK by running the London Marathon and has two 100 mile bike rides planned for 2019.

Alex Atkinson

Finance Manager

How can Alex help?

Alex is our in-house Finance Manager, responsible to the Partners for a variety of financial work. Training with the Association of Accounting Technicians in the final year to qualify as an Accounting Technician, she prepares cashflow statements, profit forecasts and financial management information working closely with our Accountants Cooper Parry to ensure the effective management and growth of the business.

Experience

Alex used to work for a corporate undertaking administration work in another property business. Since joining us her natural aptitude for figures and finance quickly became apparent, and we were pleased to fund her studies to become a Qualified Accounting Technician.

How long has Alex been part of the team?

Alex is one of our longest serving team members, having been with us since 1997.

Tracey Davis

Senior Sales Negotiator

How can Tracey help?

Tracey is a Senior Sales Negotiator at our busy Derby office, helping to ensure the smooth running of this department.

Experience

Tracey has been a sales negotiator for 21 years and has a wealth of experience in property negotiation within the Derbyshire residential market and is well known within the industry.

Angela Delaney

Sales Negotiator

How can Angela help?

Angela will often be the one taking your call and is able to answer all manner of queries.  She can arrange accompanied viewings at your chosen property, and hopefully answer any questions to assist in your decision making. Angela negotiates the sale of property, chasing the solicitors to ensure speedy completions. She can also answer lettings enquiries and deal with all aspects of property management too

Experience

Angela is based at the Derby Office after previously working for several estate agent in and around Derby. Prior to that, Angela had worked for the Land Registry for 24 years and is experienced in all matters relating to property.

How long has Angela been part of the team?

Angela joined Boxall Brown and Jones in January 2016 and looks forward to assisting in the continuing growth of an already well established company.

Interests

Angela lives locally with her partner and daughter and enjoys walking with her Springer Spaniel Dave and socialising with friends and family. She is a regular visitor to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and enjoys shopping at the Farm Shop.

Pauline Hoult

Sales Negotiator

How can Pauline help?

Pauline is a Sales Negotiator at our Derby office.

Experience

Pauline has over twenty five years experience in negotiating the sale of property in the Derby and surrounding areas. She is very well known and highly regarded in her field and has an in depth knowledge of the residential sales market.

How long has Pauline been part of the team?

Pauline is one of the longest serving members of staff and has been with the company since 1997.

Interests

Pauline loves cooking and sharing good food and wine with good friends, she also enjoys going to the cinema, walking in the countryside and attending aerobic and step classes.

William Evans

Sales & Lettings Negotiator

Will Started with the company last summer as an apprentice and is learning all aspects of sales and lettings. He particularly enjoys dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone and assisting in their property search.

Will is a keen member of his local sailing club and is a qualified instructor dealing with all ages. He can also often be seen treading the boards in the local pantomime. He has also just passed his driving test and is loving the freedom of being able to drive his own car.

Steve Dalligan

Accompanied Viewer

How can Steve help?

Steve will meet you for accompanied viewings at your chosen property, and hopefully answer any questions to assist in your decision making. His duties include preparing detailed Inventories for the benefit of both tenant and Landlord, to ensure a smooth transition when moving in and out of your rented property. He will also help maintain regular contact with BBJ tenants by carrying out periodic inspection visits to our managed properties for the duration of your tenancy.

Experience

Steve brings a wealth of local knowledge to the role being Derby born and bred. He also has experience of being a Landlord in his own right for a number of years. He has worked for many years in senior management positions in the retail sector and is a true people person.

How long has Steve been part of the team

Steve brings a wealth of worldly experience with him into the residential lettings industry having worked for the firm since 2009. He looks forward to assisting in the continuing growth of an already well established company.

Interests

Steve has a keen interest in local sport being a Derby County season ticket holder, for longer than he cares to remember, and also a Member of Derbyshire County Cricket Club. Also good news for our present and future Polish customers as he is learning the language, to add to his smattering of Russian and Romanian.

John Adey

Accompanied Viewer

How can John help?

You may be urgently looking for a property, or merely starting to look generally, but his objective is always the same – simply to ensure that you enjoy your visit and leave as fully informed as possible. John takes a pride in being punctual. If you are on time, you can expect him to be on time as well.

Experience

John knows Derby and Derbyshire well having spent most of his life here in engineering, computing and telecommunications.

John has worked for BBJ since 1995 as an Accompanied Viewer.

John has a particular interest in Art and Architecture which often relates well to the diversity of properties always available from BBJ.
