Help To Buy

Homebuyers looking to buy a brand new home in the Ripley area are now able to benefit from the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, as Ginnis New Homes announces that the popular 5 per cent scheme is available at its Deer Park development. Set in Butterley, on the outskirts of Ripley, the attractive range of homes will offer 30 three and four-bedroom homes when completed.

Launched in 2013, Help to Buy has enabled over 158,880 homebuyers across the UK to get onto the property ladder. Help to Buy is the Government’s flagship equity loan scheme which allows homebuyers to make a purchase with just a 5% deposit. Buyers then borrow 20% of the purchase price from the Government, with no interest to pay for five years. Available with new homes up to the value of £600,000, the scheme is open to both first time buyers and house movers. The scheme is only available until 2021, so buyers may wish to take advantage while they still can.

Darren Farnan, Marketing Manager at Ginnis New Homes, commented: “We are excited to announce the availability of Help to Buy at Deer Park. It is a great opportunity to help first time buyers on the property ladder, as well as enabling buyers to step up the ladder with ease. The scheme allows for more people than ever to get onto the property ladder, which is cause for celebration. Deer Park is an excellent option, offering a lifestyle in a relaxing setting, yet still providing easy access to Ripley town centre.”

Ginnis New Homes secured a Home Building Fund loan from Homes England to enable them to unlock the development and build these 30 new homes in Ripley.

Brian Burt, Senior Transaction Manager at Homes England, said: “Since we launched the Home Building Fund in October 2016 we have been working with SMEs across the country to provide loan finance. We are proud to have been involved with this project at Deer Park in Butterley, supporting a family run, new entrant SME to deliver this residential development.

“This loan is a great example of the Home Building Fund’s objective to support and create more SME developers to help diversify the market. The Homes England loan will transform a derelict and redundant brownfield site into 30 new family homes.”

Deer Park is an exclusive development nestled in the Butterley countryside, offering a blend of town and country living. Set in parkland, the development is surrounded by picturesque scenery, with the Derbyshire countryside and Peak District National Park right on the doorstep. The striking houses feature red-brick façades built with locally sourced Butterley brick, alongside period-style windows, slate roofs and chimneys. Internally, space has been optimised, with open-plan kitchens and downstairs WCs. What’s more, majority of the master bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms and all family bathrooms have baths and separate showers.

The first three-bedroom homes have recently been released for sale at Deer Park with prices starting from £225,000. With Help to Buy, this means that buyers can secure their home with 5% deposit of just under £11,250.

Homes England’s Home Building Fund supports small and medium sized (SME) developers to unlock or accelerate the delivery of residential and mixed-use housing developments.

The Deer Park Show Home will be open to the public each Saturday from the 16th June from 2-4pm. Please keep an eye out on our website or facebook page for further updates of opening dates and times.
