Derby’s Boxall Brown & Jones and BBJ Commercial announce four new appointments to the Partnership, strengthening the core senior team across both brands which together represent a leading force within Derby’s residential and commercial property markets respectively.
BB&J Commercial was established in 2010 as a standalone commercial property division of the residential agency Boxall Brown & Jones, which was founded in 1990.
Joining existing Partners Rob Jones, Mark Richardson and Chris Birds are Graham Bancroft from BB&J Commercial, and Anthony Lomas and Jo Hutchinson from Boxall Brown & Jones.
Mark Richardson, Partner, said of the appointments: “These promotions represent a significant landmark in both BB&J and Boxall Brown & Jones’ heritage and future growth strategy. Over recent years both brands have continued to expand despite a challenging backdrop and all four individuals have played a major role in contributing to this success. We are now the top agency in Derby city centre across both residential and commercial property, and plan to grow further as a major player within the East Midlands, gaining instructions across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire in the future.
“As we continue to invest in people and assemble an award-winning team, whilst taking on an ever-growing list of new clients and projects, these strategic appointments will help provide the solid platform required for the next phase of our business development.”
Graham Bancroft has over 10 years’ experience in property, joining BB&J Commercial from Salloway Property Consultants 3 years ago. Graham quickly became an integral part in further developing the firm’s commercial reputation, helping to raise awareness within the market and building a strong presence in Derbyshire. He commented: “I hope to continue growing the brand in a more structured way in the new role whilst investing in the team to help us move to the next level of regional commercial property consultancy.” Graham works closely with all the major lending institutions and has provided valuation advice on many of Derby’s iconic buildings.
Anthony Lomas joined Boxall Brown & Jones 10 years ago and has helped build the firm’s reputation for acquiring “clients for life”, whilst developing an in-depth understanding of the regional sales and lettings market. He looks forward to helping shape the strategy for expanding on this in the future and building the company’s professional network further. Anthony said of his new role: “I am immensely proud that my efforts have been recognised and rewarded in this manner which coincides with 10 years’ loyal service. I am hugely excited about my new role and influencing the ongoing and future success at Boxall Brown & Jones.”
Jo Hutchinson has been in property since 1999 and joined Boxall Brown & Jones 10 years ago when she established the firm’s Belper office. Since then she and the team have built up the practice, developing a unique offering which specialises in niche properties that are characteristic of Belper’s location along the ‘World Heritage Corridor’. Jo said of her new role: “We continue to build the Belper office and have some exciting plans in the pipeline. My aim is to make the business more prominent within the market, building the brand’s reputation for high quality properties and service, expanding our geographical spread throughout the region.”
