Willington is situated about 5 miles North East of Burton-upon-Trent and is a small parish and village with a population of about 400.
On the banks of the Trent and Mersey canal and close to the River Trent, this large village was a good centre of transport following the building of the canal in the 18th century. Today the canal is a thriving wildlife habitat and used by local residents to walk, run and cycle along. This is also connected to Willington Wetlands.
The marina area is home to a variety of shops, tea rooms and workshops. The village also provides plenty of facilities with a local pub and a delicatessen. It is well connected with it’s own train station and road links to all the major towns in the area.
