Quarndon is a residential village close to Derby that is surrounded by parkland and agriculture. The Parish Church of St Paul’s, dating from 1874, is built on top of an older site that gives some tremendous views of the surrounding areas.
There was once a well here, the head of which can still be seen, that produced spring water known as ‘chalybeate’ in the 17th and 18th centuries. Today it is known for its large luxury properties and thriving community which holds events and offers support through the active parish council. Quarndon is surrounded by rolling countryside that offers lots of opportunity for activities such as walking and cycling.
