Boxall Brown & Jones are a leading independent Firm of Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors who have been established in Derby for over 30 years. Due to an ever increasing growth within our Lettings department, we are looking for an experienced Lettings Property Manager to join our team at our head office in Derby.  Applicants should have a strong background in Property Management and knowledge of current lettings legislation.

Main Duties to include:

  • Managing a dedicated property portfolio
  • Dealing with incoming calls as appropriate
  • Liaising with Landlords, Tenants and Contractors
  • Conducting property inventories for incoming Tenants
  • Arranging and conducting midterm property inspections
  • Organise and manage repair orders as appropriate in a timely, cost effective manner and process invoices for payment
  • Compliance management ensuring EICR’s, gas safety and EPC certifications are kept up to date
  • Resolve complaints
  • Negotiating and preparing tenancy renewals
  • Negotiating and preparing Section 13 notices
  • Preparation and service of Section 21 notices
  • Conducting property checkouts for outgoing Tenants
  • Dealing with deposit repayments
  • Utility switchover
  • Seek new business through new and existing clients
  • Booking viewings
  • Other jobs with the lettings team to cover holiday and sickness as and when required

Essential/Desirable skills required for the Property Manager role:

  • Lettings Property Management experience preferred, although full training will be provided
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Organisational and problem solving skills
  • Full driving license and use of your own vehicle (Business mileage paid by Boxall Brown & Jones)
  • IT literate
